In April, 2003, The Dravis Group published "Open Source Software: Case Studies Examining its Use." The report demonstrates how a variety of organizations, ranging from US Postal Service to Devis, use open source software to manage costs while making IT infrastructures more responsive.
The report concludes in part that "solid planning and a strategic view are required for successful open source projects" – a view long held by the Devis team and an integral part of the devis customer-oriented approach.
Several Devis Federal government projects are noted as models of success in the report, including projects for the Agency for International Development, the Department of State, the Department of Labor, and the General Services Administration.
