Devis President, Peter Gallagher, was recently interviewed by industry press on open source use in Government. In Federal Computer Week's Five Stars of Open Source Products he pointed out the reduced risk profile inherent in quality open source products. And in on-line publication SearchOpenSource.com's Linux picks up steam in public sector and Governments getting cozy with Linux, the issue was about certifications and speed of adoption in the Federal space. "Federal market acceptance is increasing as government IT managers are seeing that open source is just as commercial in terms of support options as is proprietary software" said Gallagher.
