Scope of Work
Devis created the Federal Enterprise Architecture-compliant, web-based Acquisition Planning Wizard (APW) to streamline the development, review, approval, and distribution of acquisition plans for the General Services Administration. Building on the unique characteristics of procurement types, the APW steps users through data entry and approval processes to create a documented, conforming plan.
Skills and Expertise Required
Devis designed, developed, and deployed the APW at GSA, working closely with procurement experts to ensure usability and compliance with planning rules. Like all Devis systems, APW is thoroughly reviewed for 508 compliance and hardened against known security threats.
Results/Impact
Operational since April 2004, the APW is used by 2,000 acquisition staff members to enable an auditable, high-quality, acquisition planning process. Plans have been completed for several billion dollars in acquisitions. The APW – developed within the accepted time period and under a fixed-price, performance-based contract – is a good example, technically and managerially, of how Devis can complete a project that meets and exceeds customer expectations.
